Technical Skills

  • A proven background of at least 5 years in bespoke cabinet making.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of bespoke furniture construction techniques to include solid and veneered components.
  • Ability to take full ownership of a work project.
  • Highly proficient hand and machinery skills.
  • Confident to work from complex construction drawings.
  • Able to work to precise tolerances.

Personal Attributes

  • An exceptional eye for detail with an ability to quality control work projects.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident to work independently or as part of a small team.
  • Flexible approach to work patterns to meet production deadlines.

Experienced Furniture Finisher

With an expanding portfolio of international commissions for some of the most prestigious residential and commercial addresses worldwide, we are looking for an experienced Senior Furniture Finisher to join our furniture finishing department.

As a senior member of the finishing team, you will be responsible for the application of high-end, bespoke finishes to free-standing and fitted furniture within the luxury interiors sector. This is a fast-paced, creative environment where our clients’ exacting standards and demanding project deadlines require a flexible work approach.

The Senior Furniture Finisher will be one of the go-to members of the finishing team, playing a key role in the technical development of new and specialised furniture finishes. The position offers an exciting opportunity to progress within the company and to train to become a Master Furniture Finisher.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply bespoke furniture finishes to freestanding and fitted furniture.
  • Produce samples and replicate to end product.
  • Collaborate with other teams across the company.
  • Identify technical process improvements.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and development, skill-sharing and mentoring junior members of the finishing team.

Technical Experience

5 + years’ experience in furniture finishes:

  • High gloss lacquer
  • Burnishing
  • PU
  • Paints
  • Staining
  • Bleaching
  • Colour matching

Person Specification

  • A keen appreciation of our shared passion for the finest bespoke craftsmanship
  • An exceptional eye for detail
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
